Ian Scott
Ian has worked extensively in theatre, television and film. For Playbox, Ian first performed in Britannicus (1982). More recently he played Gloucester in King Lear which toured to Tokyo, Nagoya, Seoul, Perth and Canberra (1993/1994) and in Sue Ingleton's The Passion of Lemon Delicious Pudding. He has been involved with La Mama Theatre over a period of ten years in the capacity of writer, director and actor including a writer's residency in 1986. He appeared for the Church Theatre in Dance in the Ashes , Ernie Gray's adaptations of Don Quixote and Treasure Island and This is the Way the World Ends by Graham Shiells.
Ian performed in numerous Anthill productions including the premiere and return season of The Imaginary Invalid which also toured to the Adelaide Festival, in Bulghakov's Molière for the Melbourne Spoleto Festival, Waiting For Godot, Peer Gynt, Endgame, The Crimson Island and the one-person show Strategy For Two Hams. He was engaged by the Melbourne Theatre Company for Hedda Gabler, Rivers of China, (Alma De Groen), and The Marriage of Figaro, a joint production with Anthill and by Theatreworks for Max, Popular Front, Storming St Kilda by Tram (Paul Davies), The Idiot and Rigoletto.
